See how to easily set your Windows 7 computer's DNS address to Google's DNS server for better security and improve performance by going into your Networks adapter or router's properties and changing the DNS address to Google DNS which is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 . In Windows 7 you can very easily change your DNS settings by typing "Network and Sharing in the start menu's text box and click on the change adapter seting link in the left sidebar. You right click on your network adapter and pick properties. Look for TCP/IPV4 on the list and pick properties. Select "Use the following DNS server addresses" Type 8.8.8.8 in the first box and 8.8.4.4 in the second box and click ok. If you want to change your router's DNS, so all PCs on your home network use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 Open up your web browser like Internet Explorer and type in your routers website address which looks like 192.168.1.1 for Trendnet routers. Find your DNS settings it is usually found on the WAN or Internet section of your Router. Type in 8.8.8.8 in the first box and 8.8.4.4 in the second box, and click ok.
